Introduction
Clicker 5 is a literacy based software program designed to address
school based curriculum needs of students with physical, learning,
sensory or cognitive disabilities.
This full day (6 hour) workshop shows participants how to use this
software to meet the needs of their diverse classroom to ensure the
curriculum is accessible to all students.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Be aware of Clicker 5’s various applications
- Be familiar with existing grid templates
- Be able to perform the following functions
- Creat and link grids
- Edit contents of cells
- Insert text, graphics, sounds/multimedia
- Understand available access methods
- Be able to use the in-built help facility feature
Optional - homework will be provided to consolidate the skills learnt
Workshop Prerequisites
- Keyboard awarensess and competency in mouse use
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as word processors
- Access to Clicker 5 software program in their relevant environments
Target Audience
Beginner levels users of Clicker 5.
Educational staff, therapists, parents/carers, and others who work
with students with physical, learning, sensory, or cognitive disabilities
