Introduction
IntelliTools Classroom Suite 3 is a skills-building tool designed to address
the school based curriculum needs of students with physical, learning,
sensory or cognitive disabilities.
This half day (4 hour) workshop shows participants how to use this
software to address the literacy and numeracy needs of their students.
Please note, this workshop does not focus on curriculum content, rather
how to structure class activities to address the curriculum.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Be able to create numeracy based activities (using IntelliMathics 3)
and literacy based activities e.g. quizzes, sentence completion,
talking books
- Be able to find and modify existing activities to suit individualised
students
- Have knowledge on how to insert text, graphics, sounds/multimedia
to create interactive activities
- Understand user access options e.g. switch scanning
Workshop Prerequisites
- Attendance at Introduction to IntelliTools Classroom Suite 3
Workshop or extensive use of IntelliTools program
- Keyboard awareness and competency in mouse use
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as word
processors
- Access to IntelliTools Classroom Suite 3 software program
in their relevant environment
Target Audience
Advanced level users of IntelliTools Classroom Suite 3.
Educational staff, therapists, parents/carers, and others who work with
students with physical, learning, sensory or cognitive disabilities.
