Clicker 5: Addressing
the Curriculum

Introduction
Clicker 5 is a literacy based software program designed to address school
based curriculum needs of students with physical, learning, sensory or
cognitive disabilities.
This full day (6 hour) workshop shows participants how to use this
software to structure class activities to address the curriculum and use
more advanced features to provide greater opportunities to your
students. Please note, this workshop does not focus on curriculum
content.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Be competent in creating structured grid sets to address the
curriculum
- Be able to create customised templates and master grids,
e.g. talking books, pop-up grids, label grids, quiz style grids
- Have understanding of alternate access methods, e.g. switch
scanning
- Understand the ‘Edit Mode’ functions
- Be able to link Clicker Writer with Clicker Grids
Workshop Prerequisites
- Attendance at Introduction to Clicker 5 Workshop or extensive
use of Clicker 4 or Clicker 5 software program
- Keyboard awareness and competency in mouse use
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as word
processors
- Access to Clicker 5 software program in their relevant
environment
Target Audience
Advanced level users of Clicker 5.
Educational staff, therapists, parents/carers, and others who work with students with physical, learning, sensory or cognitive disabilities.
